We all know the phrase, “I wish I could wear [insert crop top, jumpsuit, miniskirt here].” Amazon Fashion Europe has the best response: just wear it! Its new campaign taps London Tall Girl blogger Marsha Campbell, plus-size activist Ana Pizarro and albino model Ingrid Behague Sockeel to wear the very garments other say they can’t. The result is simply brilliant.
Lensed by Rankin, the campaign disrupts old fashion myths while empowering women to wear whatever they choose. It’s inspiring to see Campbell strut in high heels or Pizarro flaunt her curves in a fitted dress. Sockeel is stunning in a bright red dress. Not only do they look phenomenal, they own their looks with confidence.
“We created this campaign with the hope that it would help to empower women to wear what they like, and not feel limited by their perceived flaws,” Amazon Fashion Content Director, Siobhan Mallen, explained to BuzzFeed Life. “It was important for us to involve Ingrid, Ana and Marsha – three strong and stylish women who dress for themselves and celebrate what makes them different.” We can’t wait to join the party, starting with the aforementioned crop tops.
