Robyn Lawley Explains How We Can ‘Prepare’ for Post-Baby Bodies

Robyn Lawley

Robyn Lawley has further explained the decision to reveal her stretch marks saying it was a bid to start the conversation on post-baby bodies and help future mothers feel prepared for the changes they are about to face.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at Maxim Australia‘s Hot 100 party last night, the Aussie model explained that seeing other post-baby bodies will help women come to terms with the bodily changes which follow pregnancy and birth. “No one sees post-body after baby and I think had I seen it, I’d be more prepared. Or had other women seen it, they’d be prepared…. And be okay with it,” she explained.

Robyn also said that she’d like to kick off the conversation, not only about how bodies change during and after pregnancy, but how the sacrifice is well worth it.

“I think women should be proud of the marks they make from bearing a baby,” she explained. “It’s hardcore and we don’t talk about it enough. I want more women to come out and say, ‘This is how it changed my body but I’m happier and I’m content with my baby’.”

Robyn has been a long-time advocate for loving and embracing your body no matter your size as a “plus-size” model, and we’re so glad she’s opening the body acceptance conversation further with this post-baby body dialogue.
