Another angel gets her wings! Gigi Hadid just booked the gig of a lifetime walking in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show and her reaction was so priceless it made it to Instagram. Victoria’s Secret posted a video of Gigi’s audition where the model impresses casting directors with her killer catwalk (you can hear cries of “gorgeous” in the background).

The next thing you hear is, “What are you doing on November 9th and 10th?” to which Gigi answers, “I don’t know,” while erupting in giggles. “Why don’t you come join us?” follows, prompting the top model to squeal and fall to her knees with excitement. And we’re pretty sure that’s a tear forming in the corner of her right eye.

This moment definitely eclipses Gigi’s South Park cameo as the “most iconic five seconds of her existence.” Congrats, Gigi! And P.S. how great does she look in a bra and panties? Take that, body shamers.

Would You Pay $30,000 for Jewellery Designed by Nicole Trunfio?

Right now we can think of at least a dozen things that $30,000 could go towards instead of a new piece of jewellery. A new car, the long overdue renovations needed on our houses, groceries for a whole year, or, well, anything really.

But this way of thinking has’t stopped renowned Australian model Nicole Trunfio, who has put her high status to good use by creating a 92-piece jewellery collection that pretty much no one can afford. However, she insists it’s worth so much more than what it’s retailed for.

Launching her new jewellery label, Trunfio Universe, this week with prices starting at $550 and ending at $30, 221, Nicole told Sydney Confidential, “Our price points should be double than what they [are] … I have cut out wholesaling so we can have an online business so that people can access it.” 

The top model continued, “The quality is up there with Cartier and we are half the price of them. I want people to buy it so they can see the quality.” While there is no denying the range was created in the highest of quality by the artisans of the House Of Cerrone, we are wondering if there will even be a market for Nicole’s range.

Taylor Swift Sues Radio Host for Alleged Groping to Stand Up For Assault Victims

The “Bad Blood” between Taylor Swift and radio host David Mueller has gotten even thicker. After Mueller sued Swift for alleging that he “grabbed her bottom” during a meet-and-greet, claims which saw him fired from station KYGO, ABC reports that she has sued him right back by filing a legal counterclaim.

The incident in question is believed to have taken place at a Swift backstage meet-and-greet before her Denver Arena concert in June 2013, where Mueller was on official work business for radio station KYGO, according to reports by CNN. He had his picture taken with Swift, as you do at a meet-and-greet, but the pop star claims Mueller lifted her “skirt with his hands and grabbed her bottom.”  

Mueller denied any such incident took place but was fired after a string of calls between Swift’s management and the station, which resulted in him filing a lawsuit seeking to recuperate his lost income, which was reportedly $150,000 a year at the time he was fired. He also claimed that Swift’s bodyguards and staff “verbally abused” him after accusations were made.

But in the response filed in a Denver court, Swift said that Mueller was clearly the culprit, accusing him of reaching under her skirt and touching her in an “intimate” place. Taylor said that she has held thousands of meet-and-greets throughout her career but  “she has been inappropriately groped one time — by Mueller”.

“Ms Swift was forced to begin a several-hour-long concert in front of 13,000 fans still distressed that she had been so inappropriately touched,” the legal filing said.

The counterclaim stated that Swift didn’t feel comfortable in the situation as Mueller was larger then her, standing 1.9 metres tall and weighing over 90 kilograms. She requested a jury trial seeking punitive damages from Mueller and has said that any money granted will be donated to charitable groups that protect women.

The counterclaim states that the verdict against Mueller “will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts.”

With Gigi Hadid already moving on from Cody Simpson with Joe Jonas, it’s only fair that the Aussie pop star can go and do the same thing. However, It seems like he’s not veering away from a particular “type”, if you will, with rumours circling that Cody is cosying up to home-grown model and Instagram sensation Sahara Ray.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Cody and Sahara, who is the daughter of surf legend Tony Ray, were spotted getting close and personal as they left a Los Angeles nightclub On The Rox. To further fuel the rumours, Sahara also featured in one of Cody’s Snapchats from over the weekend.

Cody and Gigi broke up earlier this year, with the Akubra-wearing 18-year-old revealing that the “highly publicised” relationship made him uncomfortable. “Going out to dinner and there being all this paparazzi and stuff…. as soon as we split I had the realisation that I was straying away from who I was as a whole person. I want to keep it low key, and focus on my music,” he told DuJour.

The Republican presidential candidate shared this nugget of wisdom on the campaign trail: Wearing a burka is actually “easier” for women because “you don’t have to put on makeup.”

Fact is, it’s easier. You don’t have to put on makeup. Look how beautiful everyone looks. Wouldn’t it be easier? Right? Wouldn’t that be easy?” He added, “I tell ya, if I was a woman…I’d be like, bwah [gesturing the burqa] ‘I’m ready, darling, let’s go.’ It’s true!”

Trump managed to insult women and Muslims in one spectacularly tone-deaf comment. We can only hope Alexis Bittar adds this gem to its Trump Halloween store windows.

Is Sam Frost Moving Onto Breakfast Radio With Rove McManus?

She’s hot off the heels of finding love as Australia’s first ever The Bachelorette, but Sam Frost is already rumoured to have secured a spot with Rove McManus on 2Day FM’s new breakfast show. 

While a number of other names like Carrie Bickmore and Emma Freedman have been thrown around as potential co-hosts, entertainment commentator Peter Ford assured 3AW listeners that Sam has landed the gig.

“Sam Frost has not only scored herself a bloke but she’s scored herself a radio gig,” he said. “She’s going to be Rove McManus’s new co-host on his Sydney breakfast radio show which begins next week.”

When Southern Cross Austrereo were called upon to confirm Peter’s claims, a spokesperson told news.com.au, “We don’t have anything to confirm at this stage in regard to Rove’s co-host or an update on the show’s launch date.” 

Dan Debuf and Maz Compton ended their 2Day FM breakfast show and cleared out their studio last Friday, possibly making room for Sam to drop all kinds of “beautiful” and “genuine” speeches on air.

Kylie Jenner Shows Support for Aussie Designer Who Battled Depression

If you’re one of Kylie Jenner‘s 40 million-plus Instagram followers (there’s no point denying it), you would have noticed she’s been using her influence for the greater good with her #IAmMoreThan series, sharing inspiring stories from everyday people.

Aspiring Aussie fashion designer Paris Marchant is the latest story shared on Kylie’s social media platform, with the Dungog teen opening up about leaving school in Year 9 to deal with her depression. “The demons were real and at the time I really did not want to be alive,” part of the heartbreaking post read.

Two years on and Paris has found a way to overcome the illness, moving from Dungog and launching clothing label Outcast with her boyfriend Lawrence Lees, which has the support of over 157,000 Instagram followers.

“Since starting @__outcastclothing 8 months ago, I am a changed person. I smile, I love life,” she revealed. “Find your passion and your mission and infuse them both into your daily work, let your determination drip from you.”

Although Paris wasn’t positive that Kylie would ever see the post, she was happy to “inspire and help” anyone who came across it. Luckily Kylie did spot and share it, telling Paris, “This is so inspiring and you are so amazing.” Kris Jenner also threw her support behind Paris, sharing Kylie’s post to her Instagram followers as well.

Think what you want about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but, you have to admit, this is pretty special.

Taylor Swift To Perform Intimate Gig On Australia’s Hamilton Island

We’re sure it’s nice to be one of hundreds of thousands of other people watching Taylor Swift at a sold-out arena, but we reckon it’d be much nicer, and more audibly pleasing, in an intimate setting.

Radio station Nova thinks so too, and thus they will be hosting a private gig for 100 lucky fans on Hamilton Island amid Taylor’s “1989” national tour next month.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Tay-Tay will play a mix of her biggest hits in a stripped-back performance, with the event being hosted by Kent “Smallzy” Small.
