Purple Fashion hasn’t debuted a new issue since forever (at least it feels that way), but thankfully, the French biannual publication’s Fall 2015 installment is here for our pleasure. To our amazement and sheer delight, Catherine Deneuve is the magazine’s cover subject, photographed by Juergen Teller as she took a stroll through a field wearing Louis Vuitton and looking far younger than her 71 years of age. In the cinematic shot, Catherine takes us back to those iconic films of hers like Belle de Jour and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, making us head over heels for the arresting image.
Forum members began to descend on the thread right away and were in complete awe. “Oh that is so lovely! Looks like a magazine straight out of the late 60s … adore,” raved Tinsley V.
“I love this! Catherine Deneuve always looks amazing and classy,” admired Zelda Zonk.

TREVOFASHIONISTO was quick to show the cover some love, too, crediting it as the “best Fall cover IMO. It looks like a movie still” with DutchHomme adding, “this is probably my favorite 2015 cover!”
“It is a very strong and beautiful image that instantly conjures up her film The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. But, it’s also very spring-ish in its mood,” favored Phuel.
Also feeling nostalgic was Wolkfolk: “Don’t know why but it reminds me of Belle de Jour. Really gorgeous and captivating cover.”

We’ve clearly been won over this time. “Amazing cover and as usual, looks like there’s gonna be great content. I think Purple‘s the only mag I’ve always bought since its birth,” said mistress_f, who was a clear supporter.
“I can’t help but love this magazine. Cool cover,” shared a satisfied gossiping.
